Hey guys,

Good friend of mine is coming over Friday night until Saturday night, and wants to come out wheeling. (he's been trying to come along for about a year now)

Is anyone interested in joining us Saturday morning?

Excellent! Greg and I will be there in the cruiser, as well a fellow from my work may join us in his lifted Yota truck.

Meet: McDonalds in Sooke
When: Saturday morning 8:30AM
Leave: After coffee and egg Mcmuffins - sometime around 9:00AM

Well it looks like it's just us. I ve been under my truck tiddling up a few loose ends but got it all done. Time to flex it out with the new shocks and air bags!

9:00am, A&W Sooke.

Yeah! Greg and I will be there. Picking him up at the ferries tonight. Just finishing hooking up the air compressor! Should be working tomorrow.

I realize it's called Tugwell Lake, and I didn't actually take any photos of the lake. Maybe someone else got some... I was too busy stuffing food into my face!

Oh and as for carnage to my truck, my running boards suffered some dents and my shiny alloy rims got chewed up a bit... Also snagged a low tree with one of my roof racks and bent my gutter a little bit -- nothing serious. It was my first "real" wheeling trip in the 80 and it felt more capable than the Pajero in terms of flex and stability and clearance, but I definitely noticed how much wider it is!

Good run. My cat broke my camera so no pics from me.

It was great to see Ken and Nathaniel out. We had great spotting and teamwork. Ray fount the tipping angle of his jeeP and it took three of us to keep the rubber down. I spotted ken right over the edge of the wall bypass (my bad) but he managed to recover nicely. The Tacoma made some great climbs given it was more or less stock. Andrew is getting good at maneuvering his "fat lady" around tight spaces.
I made it damage free!! Sweet.
The air bags, bilstein's and front dials are a huge improvement in every way.

Great day.

Indeed it was a great day! Ray and Greg got some good pictures of the lake I'll post them once they send them to me. I didn't get any photos as I was also suffering damage to my camera - the SD card broke apart inside the camera and left a small plastic chunk stuck inside.

Leon did awesome in the Tacoma, he took some serious damage to his fender and front panel. Anyone know someone with a white 98 tacoma they are parting out???

I managed to take a dip by mistake... was following Nathaniel, and ventured into unknown territory without checking it out first. Oops... water up to the rear sliding windows and over the hood. My headlights are now drying in the garage... managed to explode one of my bulbs too.

Oh ya and the air compressor works great! Took about 3 mins per tire, airing 35's from 18 to 45 psi :)

Thanks for the fun trip guys, makes me remember why I drive a Landcruiser, and what it is for.

Pictures stolen from Nathaniel's facebook!
