I am not seeing any more ideas so a recap for consideration and voting. Unless someone objects the chosen idea will have a small logo image on the left front chest and a large logo image on the back. The final design will have at least two colors of print preferably three if it is not too expensive. They will be printed on quality 100% cotton shirts and if possible in a ladies cut of the same quality, hopefully with a couple of color options. White and ????

#1. A scene like "The Endless Summer" with a lifted, well-equiped 80 on the sand, maybe a longboard on top, with the setting sun behind it.

#2. A "Big Deal" depiction of a well equiped 80.

#3. A general image of SoCal large with a slightly smaller image of a nice 80 overlaying with "SoCal 80's" written above and/or below the image.

#4. Something with a nice 80 and an orange with some script writing.

#5. Incorporating the OC in the in SOCAl 80s: 8 over the O and S under it. Ignore the lines.

#6. Something incorporating the old 4wheel Drive emblem from the FJ40's but puting the SoCal 80's inside.

Lastly a large image of LX_TREME'S rig with 24's and lo pro's in all of its splendor. MMM maybe not.

I vote for #1 even though I definitely dont surf.
I vaguely rmember Surf and Turf using something similar to it though. But it looks good. The scene does convey the stereotype of what SoCal is. The 80 makes it complete.

Strong work, you saved me the hassle of scanning my movie, inputing, resizing, blah, blah, blah... Thanks! Perhaps we should dig up an copy of what Surf 'n' Turf used to be sure we are not too similar. We don't want to be labeled as copy cats. Would you mind doing me the favor?

Replace the surfers with a nicely outfitted and silhouetted 80. Must have ARB up front, lifted, sliders and a rear bumper with tire carrier - gee - I just described my truck!

I like that as well but could we do another color similar to replace the pink? Maybe yellow and orange? We could also put 'Where Jeeps fear to tread' at the bottom. That would be sure to spark many a debate. Only kidding, I don't want to bash. I agree the 80 image has to be set up with the above mentioned items so it is clear that we are NOT mall cruisers.

It looks to me like they used the exact image of the surfers. I like the different colors. Maybe tan for the ground/sand, orange for the sky and a burt orange almost red for the sun? I was imagining an image along the lines of the 40 but obviously an 80 as previously discussed in the middle and skip the surfers. SoCal 80's on the top and Brent's idea of 'In search of the perfect trail' on the bottom. What do you think? We could leave the surfers if everybody wants to but I figure Tare and I are the only ones who surf so it kind of isn't us as a group.

My wife and I want to learn to surf for sure .......therefore I (we) would not be offended by surfers of surf boards

How about just putting some longboards on the safari-type roof rack of the 80? It will highlight our surfing roots (or at least our proximity to surfing roots) without putting such an emphasis on actually surfing. It also kind of shows our propensity towards expedition-type travelling.

I like the text proposed by Brent, "SoCal 80's" at the top, and "In search of the perfect trail" on the bottom. Classic.

As far as colors are concerned, well, I wear pink panties, so I'll leave that up to you guys.

And if you really want to create controversy, have a heep, buried to it's axles, on a strap being pulled out by the Cruiser.

That was a good one, you got me. The last time I saw that picture I thought it was yours and you had them brought over. I just noticed that the color is different than yours. Call me crazy but I don't think those are CARB legal.

Okay, now we are getting somewhere. Favorite so far is like the Surf N Turf previously posted by Bluto (Thanks) with SoCal 80's on top and In Search Of The Perfect Trail on the bottom. In between an image like the 40 but an 80, well set up with a couple of long boards on a safari rack on top. If we went with a format like that it would be 3 colors. We can change the orange and tan around if everybody wants to I think the black is a given as is. Following is a list of people who are in so lets hear some feed back from those who haven't spoken up yet or speak up if you are not in yet and want to be. Depending on where we have the shirts actually silk screened we might do best to make extras to sell later. I imagine it would be easier than trying to have multiple small batches made.
