One of my co-workers does still with the Weather Channel and he said they are seeing a lot of similarities between this storm forming and the "blizzard" Atlanta had in 1988. I hope I have power on Monday night to watch Auburn win the National Championship game

Unless something radical changes in the numerical equations output, which is possible because the storm is not yet into the data sampling network, some GA folk get out of school Monday. POSSIBLY a lot of folks.
Everyone from Macon north is in the game. Yes, impressive amounts of snow and/or ice are shown by pretty much all models. But again I warn, the parent system is still in the Pacific, there will be interaction with a separate northern jet branch (which models handle poorly), and the surface low does not yet exist except as a figment of the models "imagination".
Therefore you would have to be a fool to needlessly get bogged down in numbers and locations which will just have to be changed later. I may not have time to blog any further on this so be sure and listen to AM 750 and yes NOW 95.5 FM or click on the forecast link that gives my forecast.

So this is what we got.
Went out this morning and tried my homemade snow shovel, no go. too much snow.
I do have an idea for a simple plow for the truck.

I'd love to head north, but the 
bought all new outlets/switches/cover plates yesterday afternoon to change out in our new house while we were snowed in! Plus gotta let the boys try and some snowboarding - they're not a year old, but they're tough!
I'm frustrated with Directv though - they couldn't get my dish up yesterday (it has to go on the roof - and that it's a two man job + big ladder) and the game is on ESPN - so won't be watching Auburn win tonight...the boys go to bed at 7 & don't want to ditch the wife...guess we're kicking it oldschool and listening to the radio!
Maybe I can get on ESPN3, but not sure my aircard is 'approved' or can handle the bandwidth...

Doubt I can go anywhere, but I am going to run the big hill down to mountain park and back up to my place. It should be fun as it is icing right now.
No problem early this morning or just now when I left the office for lunch. Have the truck in 4 Hi so all hills have been tame. Other drivers is my only concern when I have been out.
Sure Ted, I'll go! Just come pick me up. Nah, that'd be rude to make you drive that far. I'll meet ya halfway - whadya think, maybe Mufreesboro? Screw it, let's just hit the cove while we're there. Iced river crossings and snow hill climbs - perfect day ride. Hehe NOT
Have fun whatever you do. Maybe I can find a parking lot to do some donuts.

I got a call from my dad this morning and needed a lift to my brothers house so he could play with the grand kiddies. So, I piled in the truck and shot (max 35mph) down to East Cobb, picked him up and ran over to Acworth for a day's sledding. It was well worth the effort, priceless times with my nieces and nephews.
We also pulled some red neck out of a ditch off Jamerson Rd along the way so my good deeds for he year are done, check!
400 is an ice skating rink about now. On the way home I actually had some dumb a$$ pass me in a frickin' Scion shoe box lookin' thingy, ya know the ones with tires smaller than a grocery cart wheel, gave me a look like I was the dumb a$$.

I sent Tony an email offering assistance if it's needed.
Georgia Cruisers doesnt even come up when you Google "four wheel drive + Atlanta" or "four wheel drive + georgia"
What would we have to do to make our club come up with that search?

Curious, not quite what i found but maybe it's the "+" that's making the difference. If you spell out the 4 it can also make change your search results but here's what I got when I searched "four wheel drive georgia" and "4 wheel drive georgia". It's all about search word optimization and we may need some tweaking to our site to make it populate sooner. SWO is a very dynamic algorithm that yields results weeks after the input so it can be a little tricky.
Suggestions for better results are welcome.
