Brent, I'll be in town and if no emergency, then will drop buy for a nice glass of wine, Oh! , I too would like to see you drill a 3 1/2 in hole in a perfectly good fender.

Dave - I'd prefer the afternoon - golf habit needs attention on Saturday morning, but it would be nice to have someone that's done it already, meaning you and/or Cody.

From all the research - this is a 2-3 hour job, measuring 5 times, trusting the template and cutting once!

I will probably also have a winch and dual battery set up ready to install also, so I could just make it a day and skip the golf.

I need to be at the b-day party around 3-4pm.. so i'd have to scoot from your place around 2pm. No biggie.. skip golf that day. :)

Oh yeah and 2-3 hours? Shoot i installed mine in about 1 hour!!!!!! Behind home depot!!! LOL!!! (i couldnt make any noise at my place that day). That's expedition style there! "field installs"

I'm screwed, wife's birthday, I giving her a baby this year. I know it costs a lot of money but I am a giver. Our baby is actually due on her birthday.

Mo, Dave - I'm up for skipping golf. I'll have to confirm receipt of the snorkel, winch and battery stuff. I'd certainly love the muscle help on the winch if it shows up in time.

What dual battery system did you order? I know mine took a good 4-5 hours to install. It takes plenty of time to route your wiring... but i also had to crimp my cables bla bla bla. Did you order the one that is already ready to go?

I ordered the entire thing from Iron Pig Offroad. Lance and I exchanged more than a few emails about his kit awhile back. He was very nice and very patient as was the guy I ordered it from this week. Can't remember his name, but kudos to him as well for his knowledge. It's got the 200amp surepower separator, OEM battery box w/hardware to install in factory position, washer bottle relocator kit, and most importantly all the necessary cables already crimped and ready to go! Only thing I need to add is the battery.

Ok. Well it will take at least 3-4 hours to do the install IMHO even with all the parts ready to go. I would save the dual battery for it's own day. Now if this was monster garage for Cruisers... we could have one team working on the dual battery setup, one working on the snorkel and another mounting and wiring up the winch.

Brent, please take some video...I'll enjoy watching it while I drink a nice Barolo....my new favorite variety. I'm trying to become more sophisticated like you!

cheers,
David...

Good to know.

Snorkel since you've done one. Extra muscle to get the winch in place, pizza, and I can do the rest.

David - come on down for the party.

I know Brent has more patience than me but....;p

man, looks like you are sure building the beast...!

congrats!

Hey,

The 31st will work for me! I don't have overly fat or skinny arms, but I am determined!

Better order an extra pizza for me.

Ok - snorkel arrived Monday just like Kurt said it would. Finally called Winch Depot on the status of that order. Their website SUCKS. I've been trying to track the order ever since I placed it on the 19th and have NEVER been able to get a response from the website, so I finally went the old fashioned route and called! Order is shipping today from Compton, so it should be here by Saturday as well.

9 or 10 work better for folks? I figure 10 would be better, knock out the snorkel and get pizza. If one person can stay to help me muscle the winch in place after lunch, that would be great.

Who's still in? Dave and his drill bits, Mo, Boyd, Cody and Stan wanted to come laugh as I drill a 3 1/2 inch hole in a perfectly good quarter panel, anyone else? Perhaps for Dave, Cody and me we can figure out how to get those back to bolts in. I'm anal enough to want them on.

Yeah, you have to call people... that's the only way. I called them about mine and got a tracking number right away.. people tend to hide behind websites.

I think im still in for Saturday (may have to start packing up the house to move).... is it supposed to rain?

Don't know about the weather. Can't pull the truck in the garage w/o taking off the roof rack, but it's doable.

I can bring my 10 x 10 EZ-up if you think you'll need it.
