I don't agree with the quality meat thing... there is some "taste" that cannot be found in quality meats when BBQed* I don't know what it is, but its there.

I'm talking about walking into a hole in the wall in rural Alabama and being served a plate of ribs or sliced meat and some white bread and having people from all over the world - all over the world - say that they just had the best meal of their lives and that they cannot believe that food that tastes like this came from that place and can they have more and do you mind if they drink the sauce directly from the container and are you going to eat that.

I'm sure it tastes great, but it's not BBQ. It's not even what this fxxxing thread is about. You know what else tastes good? Steak. I fxxxing LOVE steak. If I could eat just one thing every single meal for the rest of my life, it would be steak. I love ribeyes and NY strips. I love rubbing kosher salt and cracked black pepper and olive oil all over thick cuts of red meat and grilling them until medium rare. I could eat steak to the exclusion of everything else.

But it isn't barbecue.
