They usually have codes every 6 weeks or so. Maybe next weekend. I don't know about individual codes, but if they exist they're probably tied to accounts.

I ordered one, but just found out theyre on backorder wont be in till mid June!. Might cancel on their ass for not telling me until after I ordered it. Grrrr. Someone else has them in stock im sure.

are there any pics of this console on a 62? I am thinking of going this route as well and I am up in the air because of possible fitment issues. I know there are two consoles one with a radio slot and one without. Perhaps the one without the radio will be just the right length to fit over the heater and not lose the cupholders.

I ordered the one with the radio slot (not knowing any better) and wound up removing the cupholder to get it to fit. I did some surgery on the back for the rear heater control to work like the stock console. That part turned out great, but I'll be living without cupholders. I'll try and take some pics tomorrow.

Ever get those picks? Just got mine in from 4wp.com and have been figuring out different ways to incorporate the heater switch/lever, I would like to see what you did.

So, for a 60 series the one with a radio slot fits as well as the cup holders, and only the one without the radio slot works on a 62 unless you hack off the cup holders? I'm about to order one, just double checking, b/c I'd like to lock my radio up in my console if I have that option.

I can attest to the fj60 fitting with the radio slot and cup holders. Hopefully slcfj62 or someone who did the install using a fj62 will chime.

I have the radio slot model in my 60. I flipped the rear seat into the "cargo" position and mounted the console flush with that. I have plenty of room for the shifter even with 2 large drinks in the cup holders. It also became a nice elbow rest for my right arm making long drives a little more pleasant.

Just ordered one off of Amazon.com for $89 total, did free super saving shipping, good deal

Pics of the rear heater surgery. You can see in the second pic that I cut the hole a little too tall and had to use some nuts as spacers for the screws that hold the plastic piece in place. I made a paper template from the plastic piece to mark where to cut. I cut the holes in the console with a jig saw. Drilled about a 3/8 inch hole in each corner first and cut between the holes.

And it is a little wobbly. I'm going to reinforce the bottom a little to see if that stiffens it up. My plan is to paint it brown next time I take it out. I'll probably also box it in in the back so stuff doesn't fall out the hole where the heater control comes through the bottom.

My cupholder was welded on, but the welds were small and popped right off with a little persuasion.

And yes, I dropped it when I was installing it and chipped a hole in the plastic piece on the rear of the heater. Anybody got one that isn't cracked or broken for sale?

Looks good overall, thankfully I have a 60 so it's way easy

the consoles are the same exterior length, with or without the radio slot. It's all about the fore and aft positioning of the console. On my FJ60, I was able to position mine so I can have cup holders front and rear.

The cup holders bolt onto the exterior, so there is no "hacking" required to remove them.

Where did you get that info? I went by 4wheelparts today and measured, I got 21" and 26" for the radio version. I liked the idea of the radio in the console, but if I did the radio version, I'd lose the cup holder or back seat flip.

Anyway I bought and installed the non-radio version. Install was about 30 minutes, and cost was $75. out the door, from 4wp.;)

uh, my apologies. I got the information from the tuffy website--so the info is for the wrong product. I guess I have to pay attention to what the thread is about. I'll delete my earlier post. Sorry.

From what I can tell, the Tuffy is by far the best one out, but I like the $75. price of the Smitty, and it's the perfect hight for the resting of the arm!

If I had money to burn, I'd get the Tuffy for the radio and better latch system, also looks like it would just fit my 62.

But for the money, the Smitty is a good deal.;)

well........we'll see if it works when I get it lol too late to order the other version

So the 21" one is the one with out the radio box? It still has the cup holders tho right? Will the 21" work with an Auto and retaining the cup holders?

Looks like a great alternative to the Tuffy.
