Do those Honda's start easily?
Or is it like trying to start a weed-eater ? (have to pull start it 27 times...)
Mine usually starts after 5 to 10 pulls when it has been sitting for a while.

Doug,
How much were you looking to get for your Champion?

Anyone have a recommendation for a small gas generator say 1500 watts, thanks, Larry
Into a Prosine 1800 watt inverter. NO NOISE
Yep.. sold at Canadian Tire up here..along with all the odds and ends that go with it But they are expensive..
I recently ran #4AWG to a 4000W peak / 2000W continuous inverter that is wired direct to the battery, and is mounted out of the way in the rear cargo area. Its quiet, dependable, and cheaper than a generator. Plus, I don't worry about gas for it. It has a battery minder that turns itself off if the battery gets too low, so I don't worry about draining the battery.
Is a 1000 watts enough?
I recently saw a 1000 watt Troy Built that looked very similar to a Yamaha but passed on it due to it only being 1000 watts. I think I could have snagged for $175.00 in like new condition. It may also still be available.

After camping in our Horizon already when the temps dipped into the teens/low 20's the thought of a DC electric heating mattress cover placed over our foam mattress seems very appealling and comfortable. Either the Honda or the Yamaha 1000 would easily power the heated mattress pad or allow us to run the mattress pad off the trailer battery and then use the generator to recharge during the day time while at camp.
