Good luck on your search, the exact curve shouldn't make a difference... I'd buy the Toyota one that matches the clutch.


On a previous question, when I installed a Toyota trans using a Chevy clutch, the splines fit, but the Chevy splines are squarer than the Toyota ones. Based on my observations, I don't believe a Toyota disc would fit onto a Chevy input shaft. Which is why a Chevy disc would. E recommended.
 
So I dug my Koyo TO bearing out of my parts pile and took a look. The entire outer hub turns separately from the inner hub, but the side that has a step is made out of plastic, so clearly it does not go toward the pressure plate. The metal side is clearly curved.
 
I ended up getting the new bearing. It looked like the one 78fj40mg pictured and now everything is installed and working great. Not sure what was wrong with the first one or what I did wrong with it but at this point I'm not concerned. My cruiser is back on the road. Thanks for all the help.
