Would this help with old fashioned FJ60 hand cranks that are tough to get up?

No doubt it would. That and hit the joints in the armature with some lithium grease.

Can anyone find that style of weather strip any more, I looked around and JC Whitney doesn't seem to carry it any more.

I went OEM, don't mind paying the price when you figure the originals lasted ~25 years and they fit perfectly with NO cutting/ \fabbing for the 90 deg bend & i've had aftermarket rubber seals that were severely cracked after 3-4 years.
But, if you want here's a link to CR Laurence's offerings, all I found was the fuzzy stuff maybe you can do better (there's a link right there to take you up one level)...
CRL Flexible Flocked Rubber Channels

Does anyone know what the OEM part number is for rubber channels?
For the front:
68141-90A030208.1987 - 01.1990RUN, FRONT DOOR GLASS
68143-90A010208.1987 - 01.1990RUN, FRONT DOOR GLASS, NO.2

For the rear:
68142-90A010208.1987 - 01.1990RUN, REAR DOOR GLASS

CityRacer has one of the fronts OEM, one non-OEM. OEM seems to be available if you scrounge, possibly (e.g. ebay)
