After 2 years and 3 months of my slider project I have given up and just bought a set from Axxis Offroad today! Brian is a really good guy with Axxis and I can't tell you how impressed I am with the quality.
Anyway, now I am going to try and recoup some of the money I have into this slider project.
So what I have is a main rail with kicker tube out straight like a step slider. There is some left over tubes cut to approximate lengths to attach to the frame. I also have Grade 8 U-bolts that Metal Tech uses for their sliders along with 1/4" plates drilled to accept the U-bolts. So far I am into the sliders for $250 and the hard ware $60. Not to mention the 1/4" metal that I cut and drilled out on my drill press, $75 for a welder to come out and end up not doing the job.
I will split up the sliders and hardware if someone is interested in just one. Sliders will be a local pick-up at this time and hardware will cost $12.35 in a flat rate box to ship to your door priority mail.
I am offering it up here for a few days and then will put it up on CL and here in the classifieds before the weekend. Reply here or shoot me a PM wherever is first gets dibs.
