Wow, that was a nice looking 40! That's how I intended for mine to look, but it never happened. I'd never drive it if it looked that good.

That's a big part of the reason I sold it. It became a Sunday driver/grocery getter.

Peed on both tires. Good dog!

Gotta love an iphone. Sorry 'bout the double post.

I wish you sold it to me:grinpimp:. I am more of an '81 - '84 40 series type of guy but I would make space in my garage for a beautiful '79 or '80 like that one. Wow.

Did you have a 5 speed with a 40 series top loader or did you put an '81- '84 4 speed in with a 60 series shifter?

I agree with you though; I made my '83 FJ40 so nice that I only ever drove it on sunny days when the snow and salt were long-since forgotten. I miss my '83 but I'm glad I sold her to someone who loves her and has a large workshop to keep her pristine. I prefer my '84 FJ40; nice and clean but no too nice and clean.

My old rig, tan paint with texture loved it! Extra points if you can name location.

Installed my newly retubed front drive shaft. I decided to test it out on a stump next to my driveway.
