Late but top off

Whew, dodged a bullet today. I was so afraid that my new pup, Luigi, wasn't going to match my '40. Thankfully, I didn't have to trade him off for something that better matches..

and for those who don't recognize a joke... it's a joke and merely another chance to show off my new pup. he's going to be just fine in it - he rode to the show without a care in the world (which is not what I could say about my prior pooch... he started great, but as time progressed, his fears eventually overwhelmed his desire to go)

Leash? Safety harness?

to wash the terrible taste of working on my wife's Jeep out of my mouth.... I worked on this a bit too

now it fits, fully assembled

oh her Heep?

it's getting a new K9 cage system.... this is like version 3 or 4....
QVBAMuPh.jpg

To Do list: larger divisible cage, drawer where the battery is sitting, battery gets frenched into that useless compartment, seating for another person, a gear locker, and better battery system to run the cage cooling fans, and swing open rearmost windows with metal screens then paint the top while.... might add a solar panel too to help maintain the house battery.

what is "some I'll probably never use on my '40"
answer

the 2" die, that is... but cool anyway
what I will use, though, battery tender

in that vein, did a bit of rearranging, didn't need double batteries anymore

I can use them in the Jeep for the new setup, so I went with a single (which I may move to the front and add an accessory tank in the back to help with its abysmal range)

in the jeep

jeep is also useful for teaching dog to jump into a car because it's much shorter

starting the day with something simple... replacing an alternator
mrpbUkah.jpg

jeepdate.... I only put this here because some might find it useful
so the theory is the floor will be even with the top of the wheelwells, with drawers under the floors (batteries under them), then a gear cubby behind the driver's seat with 2 passenger seating beside it....

it also will have a flexible solar panel to help maintain the batteries that run the fans and radios. It already has water storage along with cooling and heating with the engine off (evaporative).
we do Search and Rescue with bloodhounds. hopefully this will be the last jeep based itineration.... she wants a Land Rover (is it oops that she'll end up with a 60, 70, or 80?)

This is Kinsey and this is Kinsey's car.... not my wife's car. Kinsey's.....

not Luigis

Keep in mind that Kinsey is a solid 100 lbs, her siblings are 110-120 and big bloodhounds can get to 160 (though rarely have the stamina to do Search and rescue).... point is this has to hold 2 bloodhounds temporarily (transport on missions), but the entire area will be Kinseys (and the puppy that is going to happen sometime in the next 12 months)
I think the cages are too small.... but there is no more space available
