Yes pretty cool indeed. No way id be getting to go on a adventure with a 4 month old. I was very surprised my wife let me fly out to pick up my 42 and drive it back 1100 miles even though our daughter was 18 months at the time haha.

P.S i thought it was gas station sushi to avoid lol

Birmingham has become a culinary destination. I feel bad for not posting up one of the many great places to dine I almost did since I figured you would be heading through the area. Sorry to hear you got sick.
Looking back it will be a minor memory in a cool adventure.

The under hood does look like a time capsule. Especially rare on our side of the country. I'm already hurting my eyes squinting at the details I'm tying to put my engine bay to Toyota spec. So pictures are neat to see. A truck in your condition is unimaginable to me. Just getting thermostat housing apart is a job when the bolts are rusted into the housing and block

Congrats on new baby as well. I've got a wife hinting about jumping into that boat sooner rather than later so it's neat to see cool dads to make it not as scary. Your wife must be pretty cool to let you travel across country.

It's been great reading your updates. Thanks for posting and giving all of us a good read

Gorgeous pics and great trip-yes, your underhood area is a time capsule-so cool!
