I own a 2012 Trail Teams FJ I purchased new; it's my daily driver. Driving home from a 500+ mile weekend road trip, I experienced severe steering wheel shaking/ shimmying/ wobbling at highway speeds. At 65,000 miles, it's still rolling on its factory B.F. Goodrich LT265/75R16 tires, which still have tread but are showing their age. (I intended to replace them before the trip, but ran out of time and -- stupidly -- failed to do so.) I assume that the worn tires are the likely cause of the steering wheel shake, but I'm curious to hear others' experiences. (I double-checked the tire pressures, and they were all correct.) I will buy/mount new tires next week; does Bridgestone offer an off-road/on-road tire that will fit the Trail Teams 16 in. wheels? Any other suggestions regarding tire choice? (The cost of the new tires doesn't matter to me, so I would consider even the most expensive options.)
