Finally picked up my solar panel i've been wanting forever. 80 watt 5amp Carmanah with custom easel for ground use. When we travel the panel rides inside the roof top tent. Nice little cushioned storage compartment. With the charge controller we can get 6.6 amps out of the panel. The trailer already had the charge controller so all i needed was the panel. Even with dual AGM batteries on the trailer i've ran them down in 4 days 11.2 from using the inverter, lights and running the fridge in triple digit heat. Well now we have more than enough power to sit indefinitely.. or until i run out of beer :D

Next is a charge controller under the hood of the Cruiser so if i need be, i can charge the batteries in it. Just a good $40 investment to have i guess.

Now i just need several weeks off!! LOL :hhmm:

LOL!!!! Both you guys.

Mark, the trailer batteries charge off the cruiser while driving. So basically if you move everyday then you never need the solar panel. The panel is for lengthy trips in one spot. Without the panel the best we can do is like 4-6 days out on the dual AGM's. With the panel we can stay out as long as we have food, water and clear skies.

Installing a Sunsei solar controller in the cruiser.

Try and find the solar port :D
