I was out mountain biking in the santa ana's this afternoon with some guys from work and we missed a trail and ended up on the verge of a long, cold night on the trails.

A family in a white lifted LX gave my buddies water the first time past, and chased us down to let us know we were well past the trail we needed, and even ended up giving a ride two of the guys who were hurting real bad.

Just wanted to say thanks, you guys are awesome and your cruiser was damn beautiful! I definitely owe you a beer or two.

The details in case anyone knew them
-White, tan trim
-Front and Rear bumpers, rear with ladder and tire carrier
-35" Trail Grapplers
-roof rack

COol you ran into a fellow mudder out there!

Yeah he had to be a mudder! The rig was super clean. Honestly they were the only friendly people we came across the whole day (welcome to california).

Hoping they see this post!

Great to hear you got help from a fellow mudder. Santa Ana's nights can get really cold! Good thing is if you know your trails there are plenty of bail out points and cell signal. But There was one guy who died in the santa Ana's because of the cold couple of years ago, similar situation of got lost but alone. Be careful out there.

That said I love the Santa Ana's, lots great biking and use to be my stumping ground.

Btw he is on mud! Screen name alexbv.

Hey! Glad to see you guys made it down safely.

Your friend seemed like he was hurting when we left you guys the first time and when we passed the trail they where asking about we had to go back and let you know. You guys move fast though, it took us a while to find you.

We headed home as it got dark and stopped on the trail to walk around a couple times because my 3 year old was getting motion sickness. We couldn't believe how cold it got up there and we even saw a little rain.

I should have known you where a mudder when you said "nice 80"!
(Funny note: your buddy asked me if it had 4wheel drive when he was riding in it)

I think we ought to put "Rescue" on the side of Alex's rig. I remember a few trips back when he rescued a bloodied guy that had driven off the side of the mountain on the Cleghorn trail. Alex is a good man.

Can't thank you enough, moral was low with the group and you guys rocked helping out. We had a unique group for that ride, some varied experience on mountainbikes and with the outdoors in general. I felt pretty bad everyone kept bugging you guys for water and rides!

He asked you that?! Now im just embarrassed! At least he didnt call it a jeep.

I figured with a rig like that you had to be on mud, glad you found my post.

Do you ever go to the OC LC club meetings? I've been meaning to go to one, maybe catch you at one and get you that beer.
