Wow. I'm an 80 series owner (DD) that accidentally stumbled into the 200 series forum. So forgive me when I say that I threw up in my mouth a little when I read a request for lane assist. I'll go back to my hole in the 80 series section to search for "which suspension is best..." and "how to fit 37s..."

My apologies for interrupting your day.

I had a 1997 Tacoma manual back in the day and loved that truck. I was so very close to pulling the trigger on a 17 TRD Pro 6MT this time around, but after borrowing my father-in-law's 17, I just couldn't do it. Too many compromises for me to really get behind it. I do love the way they look though.
I bought my PRO for looks only, so its perfect :)

I be honest I am thinking about trading my in for the new range rover, the LC is nice but Not enought of modern technology. My parents bought a crv touring and it has lane assist :) I tested it and it did works on the freeway. It had power rear door. Automatic dimming head lights for less than half of the LC prices.
New RR are beautiful. There are two Autobiography edition that my partners have. Climbing out of their car, and climbing into the 17LX570, makes me feel like I am going back to 1999 :D

1999? I suppose...
-I recently climbed into a RR and felt like I was climbing into an episode of TMZ...
You know... the vehicle every bubble-headed celebrity and their mothers drive to the shoe store and back? ;)

Haha, good response. (though I was expecting someone to make fun of my stereotypically broken seats or missing fender flares) I hope you guys didn't take my comment too seriously. It was just a little intergenerational Land Cruiser ribbing. Have a good one, fellas.

Nah... Just remember that some of us 200 folk actually wheel ours pretty hard.

On the other hand, 200's don't have a corner on the mall cruiser market.
MOST LC's live out their lives free of dirt or rocks or mud.
.

...which is AWESOME for those of us who can only afford used. :hillbilly::clap:

I actually knew what my LX570 had on it when I bought it so nothing about it bothers me. But it’s fun to own and drive other types of vehicles I’ve done that and I’ve always come back to LC/LX’s.

All good, coming from an 80 AND 200 owner. :)

I absolutely love driving the 80, I am right now because the 200 is at the dealer for yet another warranty repair. That said I drove the 200 from Colorado to South Carolina this summer, much better road trip vehicle than the 80. Then attended the LCDC event in Breckenridge CO and did mild to moderate trails in the 200.

Got versatility?
