Thanks Don I have one just a couple miles down from my house. I'll look them up.

Just a real quick hijack here. Since you have a WT that close can I ask where you are at?

Hijack off

Don

I like the intake "cover" you have now. :)

I need to track down some more pics of your build.

There are no "public" pics of the build. I've been running in stealth mode to hide from the purists. I don't think they would like what I've done with the old girl.

Lol... Yeup!!
You're safe here!

Who cares about the purists? Your 77 FJ40 ram jet build is one of my all time favorites and I have used it as a reference for my 79 6.0 / 4l80e combo build. Based on that one, I'm sure this one is super clean and done right. On my 79, I am using the 2008 2500HD intake plumbing, but still struggling with getting the upper radiator hose the way I want it and have not tried to mount a filter with the fender on and AC compressor in place. It looks like everything is going to fit, but won't know until I mount everything up when my heater bypass valve comes in next week. I did end up moving the battery underneath the passenger seat floor to free up room in the engine compartment.

Wanted to return a quick update on the project. I ended up with the cobra head, as it was the only choice that worked with the configuration in my rig. The Airaid intake interfered with the upper radiator hose on the dual flow rad.

Thanks again for all the help.

Wow. Cirbo, that looks amazing. Just saved all those new pics to my phone.

Are you going to powdercoat the toolbox to match the bedliner?

Yap...
That was the same thing I ran into as well, for the most part.
That cobra elbow is a life saver.
