87' runner... does any one know any cheap way for getting the front bucket seats to sit further back from the dash??? all i need is just a few extra inches...

Howdy! IIRC, ir this is anything like my 85 Xcab, the seats have nothing to bolt to if you move them back on the brackets. The floor is too lumpy to just move the brackets back and re-drill them into the floor. IF headroom is not a big issue, here is what I did: using 3/4' square tube, I bolted a section lefty righty between the front holes in the floor, same for the rear. Then I set two long sections on top of those, going front to rear, and spaced them wide enough for the seat brackets to sit on. I positioned the seats on top of these in the new ( moved to rear several inches) position, and then drill holes for those. I tack welded mine together, but the bolts would be enough. I found plastic end caps at Home Depot for a couple of bucks, that fit perfect. I spray painted it all black and it looks like it should be OEM. Cost me about $20 and only tool was a hand drill. Welder is optional. Johncan you not just move the seat back and drill new holes and add spacers then rebolt it back in
