Screw Size for Trail Gear Spindle Lock Nut?

But no more torque down, back off to zero and torque again?
 
Get these Allen wrenches and you can tighten them good MIP are the best

Still do that. That is to seat the bearing.

I torque to 45 while rotating, then back off to zero.

Then retorque while rotating to 35 lb-ft on mine.

Then install the lockplate.

I found it best to start the tiny screws BEFORE I engage the nub in the slot of the lock ring because they are just a tick off. I fought the screws for 30 minutes before I did that above.

Nub=tab on lock ring
Slot=groove on exterior of spindle
Spindle=phallic shaped piece the bearings and hub slide over.......

Yeah, the spindle part I know, but only because I had to replace one. (With help...)
