Woohoo!!! I ran across these last night on the Riverside Craigslist. I’ve never really been into the “updated” projector lights on 80s, but I like the style of these. They are the DEPO ones with the glass lenses.

The best part……$50..... SCORE! :bounce::bounce::bounce:

They won’t fit my LX as is. Does anyone have an early LC grill they want to part with?

nice score! i've been wanting to get the depo lights. next in line!

I have a '93. I'll take them off your hands... I'll give you $100 right now for them :D

yeah, yeah. I was waiting for that :D Your rig would look great with a Lexus front end though. Trade? :p

The guy I bought them from runs a ricer internet speed shop and may have access to more.

I've got him looking for any he can find. He's going to call me if he's able to come up with any.

I'll let you all know if I hear anything.

I have an extra early "TOYOTA" grill. Trade for a pair of lights if you come up with more ????

So is "Depo" what you search for when you are looking for these on eBay or CL?

I didn't know anything about these updated lights. Whats the deal with them are they OEM of just high quality after market?

You can search for Depo or there is another company importing them that I'll post if I can remember thier name. I was searching for European E code headlights so my search terms were: land cruiser euro headlights.

A lot of the dealers don’t know them as Depo lights. Depo is the manufacturer. They are aftermarket but they do a lot of OEM headlights for different car companies. They are very good quality and have nicely sealed glass lenses.

The best deal I found on them from a store was here: http://www.buyautolights.com/9197-toyota-landcruiser-headlight-chrome-p-3890.html

I’ve heard they come up pretty cheap on Ebay every once in a while. I’m going to call my guy back this week and see if he has found any more.

The lights take an H4 and and H1 bulb. I have a LX so I have to change the grill and valance too, just like someone swaping out an early with a late grill. I was planning on doing the grill swap anyway.

If you have an LC, it should be plug and play. I would upgrade to the Slee harness though to avoid melting wires if you go with higher power bulbs than stock. You can run pretty powerful bulbs or upgrade to HID.

MOT has a really detailed post on these here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/84328-one-more-headlight-thread.html

Hmmm. This is directly from the Depo site in Taiwan. It looks like they have a decent looking model with an integrated projector as well as the ones that we know about.

I wonder what the minimum order would be? Maybe someone could get a group buy together at wholesale cost.

*Edit: They aren't projectors. Just goofy angel eyes.

Huh, $168 isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting but no where near the deal your guy got them for!

Do you have to change anything besides the grill? Does the harness plug stay the same?

Update: Sorry, I was wrong about installing and plugging them right in. You do have to change the connectors to fit the H1 and H4 bulbs. :whoops:

It doesn't look too bad though. It's detailed in this thread:
