Very nice. I just bought a spare BFG 33x9.5 from Tire Rack. I had heard they were discontinued as well but evidently not.

Wow, very nice 43 you have. I am jealous. Must be around 76, because of the box indicators upfront and the late model tail lights. Not sure when they changed those.

I own a 1973 43 with original softtop and the lights are different! Am still busy to convert everything back to std, but not easy from South Africa!

Enjoy your beaut, they are very scarce and hard to find. :)

Another FJ 43 owner great. I highly prize my 75 FJ 43 they just have this little difference that makes all the difference if you ask me.

Can you post up some pictures of yours? I would love to see all of the FJ-43s that the folks on Mud have in this thread if possible.

Here is the original for sale thread on this one.

I went into the Flickr site and there are pics of if taken apart and being painted. I am very surprised that it was painted in 2003, the paint has that faded look of an OEM job.

That said, I won't feel bad about touching it up and painting it now that I know it has been done already.

Nice..........does it have front drums like the Oz trucks of that era?

You really are the Wise One....yep, it sure did. The guy that imported it had a front conversion done when he installed the Man-a-Fre motor.

You have any rear 1/2 doors laying around you can sell me? I also need an OEM air filter assembly. F type is fine since many of the non-US F's had that style on it.

It had a Weber on it, but it is very nicely tuned so I won't be changing that out anytime soon.

;);)

Do I get to deal with you or the Redhead on payment?????:D:D

I have an early style air filter that bolts onto the head bolts which is what the Oz ones had and if I can find it a Weber to stock air cleaner adapter.

Funny...I think I sold you those 1/2 doors :D

Please find that adapter and pm me a price on all that crap and I will paypal you and send my FEDEX # to you.

You realize it ain't gonna be a bolt on, since the spare tire is on the opposite side.......what is on there now?
If I were gonna drill holes in that beauty, I would get a one piece drop down. I reckon the one ya took off the 63 is long gone?

This one has the spare on the same side as a US FJ-40. It is Left Hand Drive you know. Came out of Columbia.

Anyway, the holes are there for this type of tailgate. It was a factory soft top....dunno what was on it, but it has the holed for this type of tailgate already.

I love you too much to sick this Redhead on you, you would DEFINITELY have a heart attack.

I'd either die happy or have her chunking rocks at you:D:D:D

Ya miss my point on the spare tire, these doors are set up for the passenger side spare, you are gonna have to move the license plate deal and fix all the junk left from the move......
