Sorry guys... sometime I read to fast and some importants details missed me
(english is not my native language, but discussing with you help me a lot)

So, version checking:
The current software versions with XGauge are 3.14 and 3.15 you can check this from the home screen and pressing MORE>MORE>MORE<VERSION

Mine is 3.15, the latest.

This is what I tried:
Code:
Displaying Horsepower as a Gauge

You can have Horsepower read out on your ScanGauge as you drive.

    * To start, from the HOME screen use MORE>MORE>MORE>XGAUGE
    * Then in the top right select the number of the XGauge memory you want to use (0 to 24)
    * Next <EDIT this will take you to the TXD screen
    * Using the buttons next to + and - after each character the -> in the top right will move to the next character space.
    * Enter 00 into the TXD screen and press OK> You will be taken to RXF
    * Enter 400080000000 and press OK> you will be take to RXD
    * Enter 0000 and press OK> you will be taken to MTH (math)
    * Enter 000A00170000 and press OK> you will be taken to NAME
    * You can enter whatever name you would like up to 3 characters, when you are finished press OK>
    * Lastly press SAVE.
Without success.
Truely, I have a result... I created a new gauge, displayed with the name I choosed, but the value don't mean anything... to low and vithout link between the variance and the engine load.

I should try again, and do some change to the MTH value (scale and offset for the value.
There are new documentations now... I 'll read all that

Hey Dave...according to the SCII, at what speed do you get your best MPG??

Does this means that you haven't check that yet or SCII doesn't have the capability...

SC use informations from the ECU throught the ODBII protocol and plug .
The one describe by 1LoudLX, the plug used for emission test and error code read/reset

sweet. I called a vendor and he said if we can get a group buy together. about 5 people to buy some. he will let em go for 150 each. not bad considering that they are 170. and they are brand new. Hopefully I can put something together and get one for a good price. more people he said lower they go

FYI - I bought my ScanguageII (new and latest firmware) on eBay for $159 including shipping. I got 25% cashback from Microsoft's live.com rebate program (anyone can get this, but the % rebate fluctuates daily....today it is 25%) and 10% off from Paypal for some reason. Net......$105 shipped to me.

where is the ODBII and ECU ports then? I looked today and could not find one. Can anyone snap a picture of it and post it?

As loud said, it's right above the gas pedal (not on the firewall but in the dash), trapezoid shaped plug.

Thanks TM, ill check it out tommorow morning. Has anybody actually "improved " gas mileage with these? and both my coolant and pressure gauges are stuck on L or H. I dont know any temp or pressure of my engine. Toyota wants to much to replace them, I figured a SG would be the best route
