two more pics

right here
this 40 is a "81"
and the seam in front of the door went all the way down to the bottom of the rocker? on my 69, the seam only goes to the bottom of the door?
we had to cut the slider so we could mount it around the seam.
we left about a 1/2 inch uncut on the slider, and let it hang about a 1/2" under the rocker.
the rockers were in pretty bad shape to begin with, so as we tightened up the bolts, it was cool to listen to the sheet metal crunch back into shape....

thanx justin, let me know when you come back out, we'll have to get a crew together and wheel.
oh yeah, justin's girlfiend amanda supervised the whole job...........

who did the sliders? or did you fab them your self? nice

definitely going skateboard grip tape on them. they'll be slick when they get wet for sure. Thanks again Jim, the look awesome. I'll get the hi-lift test as soon as I can, as I'm anxious as well!

Where are the pics of how you reinforced those sliders to the frame? If you didn't do it, one good whack & they're folding under.....
Not quite sure I agree with that statement...

they're not hooked to the frame.
1/4 plate on the backside of the rocker.
obviously you have'nt followed these as a proto type.
jason mace (ak" mace' on the board) has tested these as a bolt on application to the rocker panels.
jason has dropped on them from a good distance with no problems but a small dent in the tube..

carry on!

Mace would know! I saw the pic of mace's truck in the hi-lift test, and I didn't see anything folding under. I jumped up and down on mine and they are real sturdy.

LC_Hamma - the sliders aren't tied into the frame... I'll get more pics and do a hi-lift test next time I'm at my vacation home in CO.

Jim, I'm up for going wheelin' in a few weeks when I'm back in town.
