You can still get Ethonal free at the Ouray Riverside resort in Ouray.for those that have interest… I tracked down more specifics…
The reformulated gasoline (RFG) requirement for CO is specific to cities along the front range… although since a high majority of the gasoline sold in CO is produced at a limited number of refineries, its very possible that RFG gets sold in other areas of the state just out of convenience.
The RFG is only mandated to be sold in the “containment zone” during the summer season (specifically Jun 1-Sept 15) with a vapor pressure of 7.4# (typical summer RVP is 9.0# in most midwest states)
Since ethanol contributes to higher RVP, its unlikely that refiners/terminals will add more than the 10% ethanol required to meet the minimum RFG oxygenate spec. Although higher ethanol blends could be possible outside of the summer driving season.
Based on this, my assumption is we should still be able to buy “clear” (no ethanol) conventional premium gasoline at our favorite station in Ouray this year.
SAS veterans know the benefits of Entohol free gas far outways the extra cost running on the elevations the trails up there. Especially those of us running the older carb" rigs. You can still get Ethonal free at the Ouray Riverside resort in Ouray.

You got it!I’ve never assembled, removed, or installed an engine before. Just got this back from the machine shop today along with all of the machined & balanced internals.
Think I can get it done and in before SAS?

If anyone would like to park/unload in the SLV and wheel to SAS from there, y'all are more than welcome. I have PLENTY of truck/trailer space. I think we are planning on taking Stony Pass in this year.Update on US 50 This might change by the time we need it but doubtful . No trailers allowed over bridge

I have a spot open for a car and small tent in my reservation.Hello Everyone,
I'm sorry I haven't visited in a while. We are looking forward to your group getting here. We are currently full during SAS8 week. However, if anything opens up I will let you guys know first.
They are currently working on Black Bear for those of you who feel the need to hit that trail. It should be open by the time you get here.
Get your brakes checked.
All other trails should be open also, they are still working on a lot of trails and some of them the snow will just have to melt. Most of the more popular trails are already open. We have had a lot of rain and mudslides on several trails in the last week so some trails were closed for a day or so to repair. As far as we know those are all clear now.
See you all soon!
Raffle item?2 hours 9 minutes of machining later.
Pretty sure the blue cap is about where the KOA is.
