I had a "Chocolate and peanut together?" moment last night. I individually sautéed butternut squash and brussels sprouts when I figured I'd see what they were like together - in paste form. Into the food processor with some cream cheese, dijon, fresh herbs, horseradish and leftover rice to make a spread. Turned out pretty good. The wife even liked it. I ended up topping the second sandwich with what didn't fit into the processor.
Gonna try a phliiy (esque) sandwich tonight. Beef flap steak lightly seasoned, sautéed and onions and sweet peppers.

Well too late for a pic, but used a torpedo looking fresh bread. Seasoned the flap steak with garlic salt, pepper, and beef bouillon, and cut into strips. Took some meat and covered in Bernstein's Cheese & Garlic Italian dressing. Sautéed some white onions and yellow sweet mini peppers.
Cut open bread, hit with butter and provolone cheese under the broiler and piled on the fillings. Used the left over ajus to dip the sandwich in.

Bratwurst, caramelized onion and garlic, smoked gouda grilled cheese with homemade potato salad.
