Report:
Fri Night: Drove in with Joe and got to the springs at 1:30am
Sat: Joy, my girlfriend, and I drove over to Lippencot mine and Racetrack
Sun: We all left and went over to a few mines.
End Report
Sorry folks and yes, got really busy all of a sudden. I got a new client for each day I was in Saline!!!! I guess I need to go more often!!!!
So to cut to the chase, here are the pics that are worth posting:

The shortened version of the trip:
• Drove in with Mark on Thursday morning after having breakfast at Dennys
• Meet Joe (Dusty66) at the beginning of the dirt trail, aired down, found broken shock mount on Joe's PRISTINE 40.
• Drive in was WAY easier than I expected.
• Wait...are those people...NAKED?!
• Er...did we just set up camp 150ft from said naked people?
• Wait a cotton picking minute, I didn't sign up for this!
• Hmm...why am I now naked in a hot tub with 4 other naked dudes?
• *note to self...DO NOT GET AN ERECTION!!! Or you will be ridiculed mercilessly*
• *note to self...WAIT, I DON'T SWING THAT WAY. Besides, Randy isn't here yet*
• Learned it doesn't matter if its 60º, 33º or 17º, you sill feel like its 60º after an hour in the hot tub.
• Dinner, Mark sung, went to sleep. Me in the 60, Joe and Mark in their tents.
• Fri morning had breakfast, went for a nice long hike. Saw burros.
• I fell, busted up my knee on lava rock.
• Visited the chicken strip.
• More hot tubbing...twice, more food, more campfire.
• Saturday Moose and Randy & Christy, show up in the middle of the night.
• Moose, pops head in for two seconds, dips in hot tub, leaves. Weird, just weird.
• Randy, Christy and I drive to Lippencott Mine.
• Joey fixes Randy's month old starter problem in t-minus...four...three...two...one...
• Randy soon realizes that there are MANY MANY MANY reasons why manual trans is better than auto.
• Randy is STILL trying to find a good reason to have auto.
• We stopped off at the Racetrack. F'ing bad ass and I watch Christy skip around like a little school girl, do hand stands and basically wish I wasn't there so she could ravage Randy in the truck. Me and the camera always getting in the way.
• Head back and hot tub time. Randy shows up wearing shorts. Its always the half gay guys with the really small junk...so I've heard.
• Sit in hot tub for 6 hours.
• Watch 30+ shooting stars.
• Entertain ourselves at Randy's expense.
• Realize I have more in common with the older generation as opposed to the younger one.
• Randy is going to get bitch slapped when his gf realizes the smack he was talking. Good thing she was drunk too.
• Really windy all night.
• Bed time and woke to 17º weather.
• Storm is coming in and we all leave by 11am.
• Visited a few cabins and a few mines.
• Watch the comedy and various EPA laws get broken watching Randy fill up using his fuel tanks.
• Went to the 395 to air up and get gas.
• Air pump is broken at Coso Junction.
• Mark has no regulator, I have no hose, Randy's hose is put together wrong. Randy Randy Randy.
• Stopped off at Indian Wells Steak House, the food was marginal at best.
• Drove home.
Sorry I can't put in more detail, need to get more work done!!

She enjoyed the whole weekend and had a great time until we went to the steak house. She was not happy after that. Note to self: Vegetarians don't like steak houses when they are really hungry...
She REALLY did not look happy. It was kinda obvious she hated being there. Sorry man. Hope she is feeling better.

She is happier today. My concession is me going down to L.A. after work and doing Yoga with her for the first time. I am thankful there will be not video cameras around, i'm sure that would make it onto the boards (not to mention Joey would love to watch that.)

Good times. Definitely one for the history books. Sitting in camp Sat afternoon, watching the dust storm coming down canyon from Steele Pass, Dusty and I were wondering if the hordes of Ghengis Khan were hidden in the dust cloud.
