Randy,

I am most likely going in on Friday night - 90%

You can tag along if you like............I drive really, really, slow, so it could take awhile :)

If I go, I generally leave about 7:00pm, as I prefer to drive the desert in the evening/night

Everyone have fun tomorrow - I won't be there - out of town on business.

I drove up to Surf and Turf with Mark at 50 mph. I can handle desert driving slow as well. I like the idea.

Glad to see the 60 is coming out!

Well...to be honest I am worried about how its going to do. But only one way to find out. I am going to be missing all of my creature comforts that are in the LX but I guess I can travel the way they did in the stone age :p

I have a spare of almost everything for both of our rigs (starterr, coil, ignitor, distributor, all the relays, belts, hoses, and fluids.) Just make sure to bring spare vaccuum hose and there won't be any issues. We're both on stock tires so we essentially have two spares.

Well thats good to know. I will be bringing my small rack so I will have the Hi-Lift and the CO2 ready to go. I have two spare tires but only bringing one. Hopefully thats enough. And yeah, I totally feel better that you have your spares coming along. I have a bunch of other little doo-dads I am bringing just in case as well.

I may have my OBA ready but we'll see. I'm working hard after work every day to get that setup ready for this trip. I hate having to bum air or CO2 off of people. I'll be bringing my 60" hi-lift as well as a tow strap. we should both list all of our spares / doo dads and see who is the craziest. :)

:crybaby:

YOU will NEVER see MPG like that again!!!!!!

:p

I still have stock tires for this one last trip. Maybe i'll wax it, take off the passenger side mirror and roof rack, ditch the bumpers. I could probably get 20 mpg if I draft behind him. :)

I am out as of right now. I was in olancha and got a call that kelseys gradfather was going in to emergancy surgery. I turned around and we are now waiting for the 6 hr surgery to compleat. I will know in the morning if i will be heading back out. I drove 400 mi and 6 hr today and went no where

Sorry to hear that. I hope all turns out well.

Headcount for Friday evening departures....?

Ian,

Hope all goes well with Kelsey's Grandfathers surgery.

Which gas station is closed in Olancha?

Do you mean the Mobil Station just before Hwy 190?

Joe

Saturday night was 18°F. The weekend went great. Joey has all the pictures.

Hey jump in the tub and 18º is a distant memory. Had a total blast. I will post up pics here and then cross post on the 60s forum.
