I think I saw the blue & white pig roll up as I was entering my "pre-focus". I simply assumed it was a late arrival to the event...I suppose my assumption was incorrect.

I thought the grub (jalapeno cheese burgie and fries for me) was pretty darned tasty. mayhaps pighead had a faulty burger?...or more likely, as someone already stated, it could be that the wait staff was not up to his standards? :grinpimp:

Agreed that the burgers are comparable to the Rubicon's...but the Rubicon's food is nothing to write home about. Sure there is a fine beer selection, but you can find that on just about any block in midtown. Fries were average at best. IMNSHO.
It was nice that the place was almost empty and we had our choice of tables.
It was just a little disappointing. Not quite the eye-opening gastronomical experience I was hoping for. Not like the pizza at Chicago Phire that has my mouth watering even now, but what can one expect from a place named Burgers & brew? They gots burgers, they gots brew. They gots spotty service too.
Might have been better if I got there a few minutes earlier for happy hour.

So, Pighead is walking out of the supermarket yesterday, and there's a family walking around the Pig, admiring it...that's not unusual. What was unusual is that the guy sez "Nice 55"...So Pighead knows this guy knows 'Cruisers. He's new in town, just got in from texas and he's got a 60. Sez he lurks mostly on 'Mud. so I mentioned this thread, and what it is that we do every month. Think maybe his name is Josh.
So, welcome again new guy.
Also, what are we doing in January?

Provided the shop figures out what they are doing or I still have the rental I'll be there.

Hey guys, how about meeting at Hot Italian tomorrow.
They have only two beers on draft. But one of them is Racer 5.
To me, they're probably the best pizza in town.
 
Hot Italian is across Fremont Park. On the corner of Q and 16th.
