For Sale Sacramento CA Complete original 1978 fj40 wanting to trade for a pre-1970 BMW motorcycle

I have a Blue with white top fj40 showing 840 miles In 79 it was completely taken apart and everything placed in buckets with it's parts and this was going to be made into a monster truck, 1 month later, things changed hard in the family situation, So it's been parked, indoors all these years.
Few thing are missing such as windshield glass and 3 rear door hinges. There is NO rust, seats need recovered. I even have the original rotted tires on the gray facory rims with the hubcaps. Along with this fj40 there's a complete extra F2 motor. We would like to trade this factory uncut, rustb free fj40 for a pre-1970 BMW motorcycle

Nice job. Did you do the conversion using a R100 ? do you have the original motor/4 speed? Do you still have the Earl's front end?

Built it 27 years ago, Started with a rolling chassis with Earls but no motor n trans. I also used a 21k one owner R100RT last edition for the drivetrain. Still have an old /5 race bike and a 1952 R51/3 in need of a restoration. Traded the Earls for the Large /2 tank 27 years ago.

I had an old /2 with the R90/6 w/ kicker and electric start along with a Ural sidecar. Funny, 30 yr back I restored a R51, I was even sent a BMW restoration book signed by Roland Slabon, the author.

Any plans on the R51/3?
