So the wife believes she wants the running boards back on the LC. She may not, but wants to "see / remember" how they are. I however, do not have the bolts to put them back on.

Any of you fine folks, that have removed the running boards want to share the 12 bolts you have laying around?

If so let me know what you'd like for them. Much appreciated.

******* EDIT 6/30 nevermind on this request, found them!

Or a good time for Slee step sliders which are like running boards that protect the vehicle.

If not you can go to a Toyota parts department they can look it up and if they don't have them can tell you what to get at Home Depot

I re-installed the running boards on my '01 LX last summer, a day or 2 after giving the truck to :princess: and buying a newer Land Cruiser for me. ;) Amazon came through with bulbs, so :princess: now has boards with puddle lights and a lighted bar thingy across the board. Neat in a mall machine way.

Bolts are standard 8mm by 20 mm (iirc) long. OEM bolts have captive lock washers, but HD or Lowes will have them separately.

slee is not in the cards at this time but probably absorb about the same amount of space as the oem running boards, the running boards are sorta small on the 200. The bolts are tapered, iirc, like all toyota bolts. The only option is toyota parts due to the taper. Not Ace, home dep, etc. The bolts tend to be more expensive than one would think.

Figured if someone has the oem tapered bolts from the running boards laying around, then great. I'm not heart broken if the running boards don't get back on there. But she is tiny and slides over the bolster several times a day. I can see seat/leather issues in my future. The lift is such the running boards aren't that bad.

Which makes you wonder why Toyota doesn't just make or position them like that in the first place. It wouldn't really cost any more.

Hopefully, the folks who removed their running boards screwed the bolts back into the holes to help prevent rust. I know I did. I expect Beno could get you a set tho... He seems to be the parts guy...?

I think they are M8 bolts not sure about length.

What's rust? The bolts were put in a baggie and taped to the boards. Imagine my surprise when they weren't there. I spent a goodly amount of time going through every possible spot they may be.

I've got a set of White Knuckle sliders on order, should be here in a week or two. If you don't find anything sooner you can have the bolts off my steps.

I didn't mean rusted bolts. I meant I put the bolts back into their holes on the LC after removing the steps to prevent water, mud & crud from staying inside/behind if not screwed back in.

Thanks man!

Joking about the rust Mark.

Do the stock running boards provide any rocker panel protection?
Nope. Maybe from tumbleweeds. Upgraded sliders one of the best ROI upgrades without a doubt.

As soon as I removed my running boards, the bolts went right back into the frame. I expect a lot of others do the same.
