Once upon a time....

[to be continued.]

Glad to see you are getting some good use out of the swampers, they look gnarly!

I love those things, so glad I was able to get them from you. Between them and the Aussie in the back, the 62 was ALMOST unstoppable.

we had ourselves a great time! it was nice to finally get the 80 out, and jim was a great trail leader. Despite his bit of carnage he was very methodical in his direction to get the group through and get his steering sorted. It was a good lesson for me to see how well he dealt with vehicle damage and keep things moving. I always get stressed if im holding people up a bit so it was a good lesson for me.

The low down...

Aw shucks, thanks Cody. In all seriousness, we had an awesome group, fab scenery and despite the various trucknage and pretty late arrivals at camping spots, nobody made a big deal out of it.

Here is a link to a selection of my photographs, some of which I will add to this thread later... I'll let Charla tell her side of the story ;) here. I'll be posting a trip report on the RMLCA list and then put it up on the RMLCA website.

Thanks to all for a great long weekend. I'd unreservedly do it all again...

Jim BTW

I seem to remember Ratpuke making a pretty decent impression as trail lead on the way out. As for the 2WD incident, we'll just leave that a secret shall we :)...

Thanks Charla.

Man I wish I could have made it. Looks like you guys had a good trip. I have only been in that area in the late fall when everything is frozen making the trail much easier to drive. In fact, I don't even think I put the truck into 4WD last year!

Here is a pic of Wes driving through that nasty section with the courduroy off to the side:

Sorry....I couldn't help myself.

I find it hard to believe that is the same trail. Every time I have driven through there I find myself wondering what it's like driving through there during the mud season. Maybe I will get to find out next year. Perhaps, in the spirit of the LIBS, I will even bring my HJ...

Oh yeah...I nearly forgot....where are those pics at???

September? I'll need to test my snorkel when I get it done :hhmm:

Oh yah, Charla, when you gonna get your pics up :grinpimp:

They're up. I'm just not giving out the url yet. :) ha ha.

I've been swamped.... be patient. Good things come to those who wait. Maybe.
