Finally getting around to posting a few pics from Rubithon 2015! First time as a driver on the trail in my first 80 Series. Locked 1995 I bought stock from a school teacher for 3K in great condition. Made a few mods. I hope I am putting this in the right section!

Always amazed at what these things can do...! Looks easy...HA..! Good fun...!

Guppie. I am running the tjm 2.5 lift with 1/2" spacers on front and rear (so 3") caster correction, TJM 9 way adjustable shocks, sway bar drop. Tires are itty bitty 285s. Made for a bit slower rubicon run with all the weight and tires aired down.

@AllMountainToy just curious if you had to use your front locker at all on the trail. Your lift and tire setup is what I'm running in my '95, but I don't have lockers. Will install a rear air-locker next year, so am waiting to tackle Rubi until then. Wondering how far I'll get with only a rear locker. (Mind you I do have a winch...)

Where did u get your front bumper?

My brother @JohnnyOshow22 ran rubithon for the first time this year as well, he had a blast.
He has the OME 2.5 inch fully armored on 285's so basically the same lift.
He just laughed at me when I asked him how many times he used the front locker.

I should start doing that. Don't want anyone knowing my plate. Privacy and all.

Lord knows that your plate will never be seen in public, on the street or on the trail!!

Ok, so I'm not sure which way to take that comment;). Let me rephrase the question. Since I also have the 2.5 OME on 285's, is the front locker required for the Rubi, or is it doable with just a rear locker? Just in your opinion

@Schmutz I ran it for the first time this year 2.5 ome 285's fully armored and weighed down and I was constantly using it. I lost track of how often I turned it on so I could get over an obstacle. You could do it without a front lock it just made it incredibly easier with one. Even with it there were a few spots that were tricky but with the right spotting, some rock stacking, maybe some winching you should be fine without.
