This is a great time to run this trail. Leaves will be changing or changed. Campfires needed for the crisp night of camping at Wentworth Worth springs. Nights are cold be prepared.

It should be open by the time we head to Rubicon.

I want to go on this....but it looks like overnight camping is restricted until Nov 30, even though the main forest closure has been lifted.

What about meeting up Friday or Saturday morning at Loon, and staying at the springs that night? Since it is private property...it should be exempt from the no camping rule.

The current plan is to run in from Tahoe to the Springs and camp there. Mark and I will probably go in early Friday and do a little light wheeling.

Logic and the USFS are mutually exclusive. With the precipitation happening this week/weekend, coupled with cooler temperatures, the fire danger in that area is probably the lowest it has been since April/May.
