Hey Sean, I really like the way you did your tube fenders nice work, I used Eshans hardware for the top except I replaced the bolts and I had to make a coupla of modifications to make it fit right on the frame, I still need to do a coupla of more it tends to pull out on the sides in the front, the metal in the front frames could have been a little heavier gauge, but I'm sure if would have been more difficult to fab for his guys. The top is acually tan but dosen't tolerate the sun very well, I am going to put some sealer on and see if it will regain some of it's color, I am looking forward to your ROTW as well, cheers, Larry

Well I guess I spent enough time at the top but at least I was replaced by a 1st Class 40.

Nice work

Thanks Larry!

The fenders were actually done by Jeremiah. I asked for some tubed fenders and this is how he does them.

The hardware I got (I got my Paki top from someone else, but it had never been used) doesn't seem to be very good, ie, very susceptible to corroding. I'd love to find some OEM or stainless steel.

I think I know what you mean about pulling out of the sides. I remember wondering about that when I test fit mine a couple years ago. Mine is a black one, btw.

Love that cruiser, I really like the bumpers and the Paki top. Does that top keep the interior pretty warm up there in Montana?

I went on a run several weeks ago and the temp in the morning was -5 and the high for the day was 8 degrees and going down the highway it was comfortable, but I upgraded my heater motor in the front so it has a higher output and made sure the rear heater works well but with both of them it was fine, the top is way better than the best top I had before, I've driven it to work at 20 below and been comfortable. cheers, Larry

Nice Cruiser !! Where was the pic of the red 40 in post #5 taken? I lived in Billings late 70's thru the 80's, it sure looks farmiliar. Beautiful ! Thanks, Alex:cheers:

That Picture is in the Clarks Fork canyon on the way to the Morrison jeep trail, it's the short road to Bridal Veil Falls, all out of Clark Wyoming, I don't know if you ever took a trip up Morrison but it goes from the Clarks Fork all the way to top of the world on the Beartooth Hiway about 25 miles.

Here is a photo about 1/3 the way up the trail looking back at the Clarks Fork river in the canyon,
