Oh man, spring cleaning got the best of me. I sold it to a guy in Provo who water locked his engine. The wife wanted the space for a double stroller, and there was no arguing with that...

Thanks for all the help during the rebuild! If you are coming through SLC, I definitely owe you lunch.

Bummer...but probably going to better use than getting a "just in case" rebuild. I'll keep in contact if I end up coming though and lunch would be cool! I have to get this car home somehow and that looks like the best route to me.

Motor still running great?

Great to hear stories like this. How's the a/c compressor doing?

The compressor is doing fine. I got a spare now too from the new motor, so I should be good a/c wise for a long time.

Better than ever! It was night and day difference from the old one. It's got about 8,000 miles since the swap.

:flipoff2: welcome.

love your outlook and attitude, and the fact that you drive what you love and build what you need.

good luck and keep it up!

and yeah, a vid of the boys launching in and out would be sweet.

Have you tried a Toyota brand wiper for the rear? I thought I had the same problem you described (my wiper wouldn't work on the upper 1/3 of the blade) but the problem was solved with a replacement from the dealership. And surprisingly, it wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Now my back wiper cleans the whole length of the blade.

Nice job on the armor. You got a good looking rig.

I haven't tried that, great tip! I will pick one up see how it does.

Great write up and way to keep the ROTF Alive! Now if the rest of us who did one could get some love in the sticky thread *Cough* Mods. :D

I just PM'ed the mods as I was drafting it up. I'm sure my time in the spotlight has sufficed if someone else is stepping to the plate.

Thanks. That really is the best part. Stepping outside every morning and seeing exactly what you envisioned as your ideal vehicle...

Thanks for all the positive comments, I've got a Moab trip slated for the 3rd weekend in August. Maybe I'll see a few of you around? I'll be rolling with a built Taco, and a couple of shiny, big lift, and unlocked Tacos. We're thinking Fins and Things, Hell's Revenge, and if we're up to it, Metal Masher. Kind of cover the hole gammit of difficulty and see how many taco axles we lose on the first two before we get into anything challenging.
