Yes Sir, there will be several parts from her that will live on in the new one. Roof, axles, wiring, heating/air, patch panels and many other items.

Got the doors and the rear hatches put on. The gaps are pretty good. Now just need to do some finish welding and body work and its time to sand and put on new paint.
Also made plans to make the engine and trans mock up easier. Took what was left of the old brown body and cut it in half. This will make it easier to take on and off and move around easier.
Last picture is of the Bridgeport milling machine that I just bought. Spent about three hours cleaning on it. Next is to wire it up.

Got a box of stuff !!!!! Four drill chucks, four fly cutters, 2-3 dozen end mill cutters, dozen of key way cutters, metal slitting blades, and assortment of other cutters and four packs of drill bits. I also came with a massive vise that is really too big for the bed. Can't wait to get it hooked up and making some shavings.
Did you get Ford shock towers for your front end when you did your SOA? Need to find someone with some extra high steer arms so I can make my own with my milling machine. When it comes time to do the cut and turn, I will be contacting you.
SCORE on the tools! i'd love to make some chips with that thing.
i used all toyota stuff for my SOA except the hi-steer arms from Trail Gear. if you have the money, buy the kits, otherwise if you are cheap like me, cut and grind the hell outta Toyota stuff and re-weld it on.

Painted Parts & Updates
Got the IP all cleaned up and painted. I was surprised when I took the valve cover off how clean it was. Also, the cylinder walls were nice and clean. I took some pictures of the cylinders but they didn't turn out good. More to come.

Well, it's time to spend some more cash on the motor. As to the FSM, it said to have the fuel injectors checked before reinstalling them. Took them to City Diesel, local shop, and had them tested. Three of the four were bad
and he only had two, and could order the other two. That hurt the old pocket at $220 each
. Well, there is no other way around it. Did get the oil cooler cover painted and the bolts all cleaned up. Just cleaning up the hard fuel lines and brackets now and getting ready to throw it all back together. Here is a pic of the oil cooler cover.

Got a little more done on the diesel motor. My buddy came over and looked at the progress of the body. Plans were made to finish up the welding and then to start the finish work. Also got the axles out of the old frame and getting ready to start taking them apart and rebuilding. Sorry no pictures of the axles.
