I'm looking at purchasing an FJ62 that already has a rack on it, but I can't seem to find the particularly rack online/get a good look at it from the pictures. I'd like to mount my Tepui on it, but unlike my current vehicle this rack doesn't appear to be flat, with cross bars. Instead, it's your typical "basket." I've included some pictures of a similar rack/basket below. I know weight won't be a problem, but I'm not sure how I mount my tent because I'm used to mounting it on cross-bars (on an otherwise flat roof).
Any idea if it's possible to mount a tent on a basket without purchasing additional cross bars? I'd prefer not to replace the rack but being able to camp is a necessity for me.
