Roof Rack options

Going to put a rack on top. Dont plan on doing much with it as far as a tent or awning. Just in case I need to move stuff from home depot etc, the inside although taller is much smaller it seems than my 4runner, and nicer LOL.

I think I am going to go with the Victory because of price. Spending a G on a rack doesnt seem logical, but neither does 800 but its still less.

Anyone have any reason I should pick a prinsu over a victory? I see the Prinsu has an additional cross bar, but that doesnt seem that critical to me.

Also has anyone sourced a flat panel to mount up there that ISNT an arm and a leg? 135 bucks for a flat piece of metal powdercoated that only a PD helicopter will see is kind of rich i thought.

Look at ATV load ramp roof racks, lots of 80 series guys did those, you'd just need to source feet, I think Gamaviti makes them standalone. If not that, get a used utility trailer, then you're not loading plywood/sheetrock up 7' on top of the truck.

I'm not sure whether something like this has been posted before (nothing came up on my search) or if anyone has this happened to their racks, but if you have a prinsu style roofrack, I would make it a habit of inspecting it, specially if heavily loaded. These aren't my pictures.
