Yeah I wouldn't be happy with that. Mine was very minor compared to that one.

Sometimes life gives you the scratch, and sometimes the dent.

It just arrived yesterday and I haven't plugged it in yet. Any advice on what to check or should I just send this one back? I assume that they check that they still function before sending them out. It also still has a warrantee if I recall correctly.

That one is pretty smashed. I'd make sure it runs on 12v and 110 and make sure all the spade connections are tight behind the panel. They make sure they work supposedly, but I received a dead one the first time around.

Holycow, was the box smashed too or is that how it came out of the box?

That'll buff right out.

:flipoff2:

I think I'd send them a picture and at the very least ask for an adjustment, there is just no way that comes close to qualifying for a "scratch and dent"

Obviously saw this thread and was late to the rodeo, do these things come back in stock regularly? Or am i out of luck

They become available occasionally. Your best bet if you really want one is to sign up for notifications from this thread and bookmark the OpenBoxDirect direct scratch & dent webpage and check daily.

Cleaning out my office today and found the receipt with the dimensions for the slide pan I had made for my 63 quart fridge and thought I'd share. These dimensions fit the fridge pretty tight. If I were to build another slide, I'd probably go with 1.5" angle to make a mount for the fridge, be cheaper and lighter.

Only other thing I wish I had considered was the dimensions for an ARB or engel for when the Edgestar dies. Not sure if it will fit other 60 quart brands.

here you go, check many times per day if you're really wanting one because they literally go that fast.

There is an 80 up now for just over $400 which is an OK deal, last link. I haven't had any success finding a 5% or 10% coupon lately though.

I was worried about ordering the 63qt after the last set of pics - but a scratch and dent popped up last week. Just got it today - no scratches anywhere and can't even find a dent - well there's a slight indentation near the rear vent (tried to get a pic), but that's it. Verified that it works both AC and DC - pleasantly surprised so far :).

A 63 was available today so I ordered one.
I cant wait for no ice in the cooler this summer!

I leave a 63 running round the clock at the house. Keep all the bottled beverages (mainly Negra Modelo) in there so the kitchen fridge has more space for food items. Have a second one as well as two ARB's. I love the look on peoples faces when you pull out some ice cream in camp.

Happy to report that the fridge works great and lasted through a 5 day trip with ~450 miles of offroad travel. Washboard, rocks, woops, etc. I really enjoyed having cold drinks and food after 5 days in the desert. I don't think I've experienced that in about 15 years when I had a really nice oldschool Igloo cooler that actually kept ice solid for more than a few days

I took it apart as much as I could and checked the wiring. I also "straightened" the dents. It sits level, but sure isn't pretty. I've run it for about 3 weeks straight including one 4 day camping trip. My only complaint is the DC plug is a little prissy. I also think that hauling a loaded 80qt fridge across a 100 yard meadow is not as bad as I thought it would be. I will make some new handles that allow for two hands on the handle. So far so good, not bad for $370.
