Got the last 43...

@Slickspawn LOL, we'll have to see how they handled it, it said only one in stock when I ordered and I got confirming emails from them that order was placed. I bet the same happened to you. So we'll see what happened. back around post 580 or so you can see I bought one and they did not ship

@Bear Lake Cruiser my order was 2:36pm from the email... We will see! Maybe if I don't get it that will be doing me a favor...

I did dick around in PayPal for a good 10 minutes so maybe we got the last two...when I cLicked back on it after my order it said none left.

Either way whatever!

EDIT: I logged in to the site and checked my order status, it says backordered as the status so probably no dice for me.

This is more fun than getting the fridge. I'm bored at work :)

Just checked mine and it said 2:29. We'll see, these guys are flakey but it seems when people finally do get them they are happy with the product.

I got a 43 qt earlier this wk for $279, it was the last one in stock at the time. Today it was back in stock for $251! I Still can't complain though. I have a 63qt that I love and it was a bargain at a hundred $ more

Their ordering system is flawed, I went through it a couple times with thinking I had bought something. It should lock the item for a period once you put it in the cart instead of letting multiple people buy it, showing on credit card, etc. But product is good for price and OpenBoxDirect has been forthright otherwise in my dealings.

I grabbed the last 80, I'm thinking it may be a bit on the large size but for the price, it's hard to go wrong. If I don't like it I could put it on Craigslist and wait for a 64 qt.

@Bear Lake Cruiser the 43 I ordered didn't pass final inspection (Hah, now we all now what that means!!!). So I'm back to watching.

Oh boy, what doesn't it do?

Work?

Well the one I got a few days ago worked great and cooled very fast, faster than my ARB. Sat on the garage floor for 3 days and today stopped working. Now I have to go to Edgestar to honor what supposedly is a factory warranty. Really short on time to have to hassle with this. I guess you get what you pay for.

They'll take care of it, might take some time though. I went through the ringer trying to buy one and then sending back what I finally received. Probably worth it to buy an engel or arb if your time is worth a lot.

Maybe it is something simple to fix. Not throwing any error codes and the fan is running. No compressor. I do have an ARB already and happy with that one.

Anyone moved the hinges to the short side yet?

12volt or AC? Unless you have dedicated power to the back with 12 volt (read dont use 12volt extension chords use heavy gauge wire) the fridge will run, but not compress.

AC should have enough juice though. Try opening it up and looking for loose wires.

@crissoni It ran for 48 hours just fine on A/C. Never got to try it on D/C. All the fans run and control pad look just fine. It did not get bumped, just sitting in the garage undisturbed and it quite cooling. Maybe I will throw it in the truck and try 12 DC, perhaps the transformer module went bad
