Rock Warrior Wheel Ring...

I'm probably going to make updated rings that will allow the following:
  • Use of more standard zinc coated hex hardware($10 for 60 bolts, will require low profile 13mm socket~$10)
  • Reduce the weight by 20%
  • Allow more room for air deflators
  • Spots for more valve stems
  • Cheaper than OEM ~$150 per ring
  • Option to use stainless studs and jam nuts to secure ring (pretty expensive though~$175)
People that go in the mud might not want the pockets in the back, they probably will fill with mud over time.

I need to find some rock warriors rims...

Prototype ring, still waiting on new hardware.

Excited to see someone actually are trying to offer a replacement. Will you be offering updated hardware as well? Ti bolts?
Yeah, if there is enough interest. I did find some titanium bolts that might work, but they were like $10 a bolt.

That looks a lot better than rev 1, but why two cutouts for a valve stem when there is only the possibility of one on the RW wheels? There will never be two valve stems. Having two just looks...odd.
Good point, I thought I saw someone adding another valve to their RW wheels. I must have been mistaken.
UMHW will be 15-20% more expensive than if machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, but they would be under a pound if made from UMHW.

I like those a lot. Even with the added cost, maybe something could be saved on the fasteners - also plastic?

Do you mean cost or weight being saved on the fasteners?

What color would they be if made from UHMW? I am partial to the factory silver.

I’m curious how white would look. It might always look a little dirty like a white cutting board after it’s been used a while. Can’t really picture any of the other colors and not a fan of black in that location. It’s function would be great, helping the wheel slide by rocks and protect the valve stem.

What would the weight be in aluminum?
