Stop hijacking my thread...thanks!

Thought this was about Road Trip Possibility???

So Memorial Day sounds good to me...

OK I guess the Sr Moderator has given us the go-ahead to stay here and put this trip together, at least as a non-sanctioned event. Don't want to go up against the axle Hamom but I've been dissuaded from that as previously mentioned on that thread. Call it a Lowcountry Cruisers event if necessary.

So we have 2.5 participants, who else? Chuck? You started all of this. Andy? You steered it.

BTW there used to be a killer private party on one of the barrier islands in Masonboro Sound Mem Day w/e.
That's just north of Pleasure Island. For the non-cognocenti that's what they're calling the island formed by the ICW ditch cutting across to the Cape Fear River and including Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Ft Fisher.
If someone has a boat and an interest in outlawry I'll show you where.

Nah...if ya'll wanna use this as a trip thread that's fine....just didn't want others to get confused between your mem day trip and the shrip/crab boil in October.....we'll blame it on Marshall for creating a thread to confuse it with this thread which lead you to having to continue the confusion with creating another trip. If this didn't confuse us then I need to try harder cause I'm not sure what I just typed!

Hey some of the camping threads has got me thinking....I grew up in the lowcountry and did a lot of camping growing up down there....It would be cool to get a group of UC and caravan down to the lowcountry for a weekend of camping and possibly wheeling. We'd have to have everyone's vehicles in shape to make the 4 or 5 hour trip and I'd like to all go down together so no one is on the side of the road if something were to happen. And I'm thinking of a trip which involves no interstate, all backroads and highway. The point of the trip is purely to camp and not to wheel cause of the 4 hour trip down there. Although some light wheeling may be doable if we can find the right trail. But we could hook up with the lowcountry boys ......cook up some frogmore stew....camp on the beach with a bon fire and sit back and enjoy....what are y'alls thoughts?

Hey this sounds like a great idea. Why don't we do it Memorial Day weekend at Carolina Beach? Drive way up the beach, nice fire, Frogmore stew, surf fishing.
One day we can go down to Fort Fisher and drive around, do a little civil war study.
Surfers can surf, wheelers can wheel, loafers can loaf.
Whaddaya say?
