Poured the coolant in, went to get in the truck to start it up and, what's this? I still have a wire tag reminder hanging from the steering wheel.

Yup. Little baggie under the front bumper with a new set of hardware...waiting to be installed. NOW it's ready.:)

Really, I'm so ready to move on. But, there are these little things that keep catching my eye.

And the alternator is gonna have to come back out. I overlooked the fact that it has a GM pulley on the front. That simply won't do.

THAT is something virtually everyone on the 45 forum would agree with!:lol::lol::lol:

I'm just curious to see if Mark @cppilot has gone as far down the rabbit hole. My ETA on 2.0 is out the window at this point.

Yes Mark, I have the same issues. I've been down the rabbit hole, climbed the mountain and I am now back in the rabbit hole. Just when I think I am about finished, something else is yelling at me to change. I'm almost there though. I did fabricate a "close to original" license plate bracket out of a later model FJ40 for the rear of the 45. It's being coated today.
 
I welded dash ribs into a 1974 tub cause I couldn't go without them. Took a whole day. Cheers to us! Hahaha :cheers:
 
It's the little things that count.

I FINALLY got the engine bay squared away for now ( the urge is still strong tho) enough for a drive. Put in the coolant, went to put the cap back on and had one of those AHHH moments. Factory radiator tank with embossed emblem and chain anchor.:)

Bump for someone who is also search challenged. Progress stalled after the warehouse fire.
 
I can’t believe it’s been almost five years without an update. I came in looking for a pic I don’t have. I guess Ill have to take it…and post up.🤔
