I know people update their tundras to a newer front facia when accidents happen. I wonder if the 2016+ bolts up with no issues

Hey folks, I just got off the phone with @Eric Sarjeant who has installed a couple of these now, and he saved me a few headaches on this bumper. Turns out, the Comeup wireless synthetic winch is a much better fit than a Warn with this bumper due to the solenoid size. He said it’s possible to use a Warn, but in an install he recently did, they had to work quite a bit of magic to get the Warn solenoid to fit - in the engine bay under a Slee air compressor mount. Maybe Eric will chime in with details if necessary, but I’m just putting this here as an FYI for anyone who has yet to buy a winch.
Also, for everyone who had gotten in touch with me before my heart surgery, thanks. I made it through, and am now at home recovering. Overall, things are heading in the right direction, and I’ll be back behind the wheel in a few weeks.
Replied to PMI was on the fence as I LOVE this bumper.
Unfortunately/fortunately I got in an accident today. My front bumper is a mess and I will need a new one. Any chance they/you might have room for another late comer?![]()
Thanks for following through on this while I dealt with my surgery. Much appreciated @jfrench.
How does this bumper compare in terms of quality(strength)and safety to the ARB?
I think it was @Markuson with Ruby (the Land Cruiser) who also looked into it... the bumpers are crash tested and air bag rated. This is kind of impossible to answer, unless someone had both bumpers on identical vehicles, and then crash tested and rated both bumpers in the same controlled environment. That said, AU is much more stringent about aftermarket product safety testing than the US, so I’m not worried about it. Rhino 4x4 are nearly 30 years old, so they’re doing something right.
I’ve never heard of them until just recently on this board, so great to hear they’ve been around that long. This is kind of impossible to answer, unless someone had both bumpers on identical vehicles, and then crash tested and rated both bumpers in the same controlled environment. I can't say definitively but Aussie safety standards are higher than here in the US from what I have heard. I would be happy to install!Well, I sure love the bumper! So long as it’s been crash tested and complied with the airbag system, please count me for the next future group buy! Does Slee install these? Otherwise, maybe @Eric Sarjeant would do it and a couple other upgrades. I don’t trust anyone around here to do it.
