Here is the opening in my 2/73 FST. Has been on the road since 1988 at least. I bought it in 94 and tag on the license plate expired in 1988.

Can dig up the reverse light to show the back but just a single wire and and two studs.

Humm, looks like it has a plate spot welded to the inside. I'll snap a picture of that too.

Reproduction 1973 back up light / lamp lenses should be

available in later January , early FEB. and are currently under

development by the Rising Sun Mechanical Skunk-Works

and are in final phase prototype development status

i like what i see so far and feel it will meet the 1973 owners needs well ........

it's been a tricky parts path to get to , but im in too deep to turn

back now .....

Any idea on a ball park price for the lens repop?

Any idea on a ball park price for the lens repop?

not yet ,

i am still incurring various molding fees

it will be in the same range as similar reproduction land cruiser parts

or

i will not move forward , asking like $400+ for a parts like that is not my style

i want it to be available and obtainable to ALL mud members

for a resonable value is my mission on this

lets face it how many folks have a 73 and still have a lamp housing , but only

need the glass , ?

i put the # at 75% due to dropping it on the floor etc

now how many is that is anybody's guess

my biggest challenge will be my qty of a first run order ?

getting that right ...................Im in deep thought 🤔

qty x 1000 NO WAY !

qty x 500 , sounds like too many

qty x 100 sounds like not enough ..........

see my point .........
