I have aftermarket mirrors on my 62 with plastic chrome and they look horrible. Wondering if it's possible to retrofit the OEM power mirror motors + mirror into new OEM murakami housings? I found these, but they are manual only. Honestly I'm OK with manual only as long as they're adjustable just by pushing on them from the outside (vs having to connect them to a lever on the interior, which my 62 ofc doesn't have)

manual 60 mirrors do not have a lever inside the car.

Regardless.. 70 series power mirrors are a direct fit to a 62. Plugs right in and work perfectly.

Those look great! When you say "plugs right in" - these are still manual operation right?

the electrical connector is the same as the 62, so, it plugs in. So nothing needs to be modified.

Emphasis on nothing NEEDS to be modified.

There is a SLIGHT difference in the base/mount to the car. Most people don't worry about it, they send it and it looks fine and no one will ever notice it. If you are OCD, you can swap the base from your original mirrors to the electric 70 series mirrors. That's what I did. Fairly simple, just have to de-pin / re-pin the connector to slide the base off. And make sure you are using JIS screwdrivers to detach it.

You can find some explanation on this in my post history.

If you decide to go with the manual set you can get them cheaper direct from a Toyota dealer than that eBay auction. This is World Toyota in ATL and they often have 25% off sales and free shipping at $75. So if you want a bit you can grab them for $221 or so delivered.

I ordered a set of these manuals as I figured I never actually re-adjust my mirrors so loss of power is not a huge deal.

I am fully aware of that and planning to 3D print a base to include with the mirrors when I get them listed on my webstie :)

Damn these are perfect. Checking the usual places (partsouq, amayama), looks like only the left hand is available. Right hand is the one I'd actually want to be powered! Think they'll come back in stock?

I have one pair in stock at CruiserMatt's :)

I'll be stocking these regularly soon.

Well, since I mentioned it yesterday seems a 25% off parts sale started today at World Toyota (likely others as well) so if anyone wants the manual mirrors they are now $221 delivered.

I love this! I’ve heard nothing but great things about you and this further proves it.

You cannot easily swap the electric guts into a new manual mirror housing (all 60 series). I tried.

I love the manual mirrors, and they rarely need adjusting, so lack of power adjust is a non-issue. If you have many people of different heights driving your truck, they may require frequent adjusting.
