In amazing condition, this is my partially restored 1981 BJ42 (3B Diesel). For those not familiar with Land Cruisers, this is the diesel version of the FJ40, the more common gasoline vehicle. The cruiser is Aircared and insured, used as a daily driver and trail rig... If you've always wanted a trail rig that can run even with the batteries disconnected, look no further. This vehicle has never let me down.

I'm an upfront and honest guy, and will not bull**** you. If your *seriously* interested in this vehicle, call or e-mail then come by for a chat and test drive. I'll give you the low-down on everything you need know. I'm generally responsive on e-mail so don't hesitate to ask any questions.
If you are looking for a fast ride - move along to that 4.0L Jeep. The 3B diesel is great for fuel economy (high 20's MPG) but their speed, when coupled to such an overbuilt chassis is best measured by calendar
I have no idea how many actual kilometers are on the chassis/engine. When I bought it in 2007, the previous owner had no idea of mileage due to broken speedometer cable (the cluster was around 250K). I fixed the cable issue, but then found that the instrument cluster odometer was stuck (not turning). I pulled out the cluster, fixed it up (and zero'd it out) and then found that I had no drive from the t-case. The cluster works, as I can spin up the gauge with an electric drill, so perhaps the plastic gears on take off gear inside the t-case are worn. I've just left it like this for the last 3 years and haven't bothered pulling the t-case to figure out whats up. I change the oil every quarter and keep all the other fluids topped up.
Throw-out bearing gets a little noisy once warmed up. Been like this since I bough the cruiser 3 years ago. 6 months ago I purchased a complete clutch kit, along with all bearings and rear-main seal (as you might as well while you're in there) to fix this - should it ever become a real problem. All parts to come with vehicle sale.
Complete rear drum rebuild kit, including new dust covers and shoes. All parts to come with vehicle sale.
I have $300 worth of new, color matched, paint for all the various components of the vehicle.
Complete Chassis/Body and Engine service manuals (reprints) will also join the new owner.
Windshield Washer pump needs replacing (24V). Wiper motor may also need some TLC. I've worked on it once already, and think the brushes are probably a little tired. It has a tendency to work great a first and then slow down as it warms up
Frame is solid, although the inner boxing just above the rear spring perches needs some beefing up (this was on my to-do list before deciding to sell)
Dome light needs a bulb
Vehicle could benefit from new shocks on all four corners.
