Aftermarket rear bumper requires resonator delete, turning pipe out behind rear tire. Anyone know whether this will cause CA smog-compliance issues? Heaven knows, I don't want to ask them...

Thanks for any help!

Good to know, thanks. How's the sound? Any mileage hit or chassis rattling?

It gets noticeably louder with more drone at 2200-3000 rpms. However most people get use to it within a day or so and forget about it.

Sounds like I have a turbo, it kinda whistles. Other than that it's all the same.

I got a race truck with open headers to pass cali emissions once. Leave a benjamin on the seat and go to the vato garage across the street from the dmv in Victorville. Ayuda si usted habla español, but not required.
Used to know some guys who worked variants of that. My impression was the direct-to-smog-central real-time test hookups killed all that forever. No?

The whistle of the exhaust without the resonator is so damn annoying!!! I ended up putting a different muffler on to get rid of it. But you'll pass inspection without it.
