I think my alternator is done on my 2006 LX470: battery light came on, super low volts, radio went on and off etc..

I can’t replace it at my house - can anyone recommend a shop in the greater Vancouver area?
Is that a 4.7 or 5.7? Call Steve @ Extreme Bends. 604-944-0382

It’s a 4.7

Thanks cruiserpilot for the recommendation - I’m booked with Steve for a denso reman tomorrow!
How’s the timing belt interval? You can go long but at your peril.

EBI in Port Coquitlam (1650 Broadway) can help you, but any Toyota dealer can replace that for you. Keep the old one, as if it is only brushes worn out, it could be a very easy repair also.

Thanks for your reply. Of course you are right, a Toyota dealer would have been just fine. Steve at EBI already has me all sorted and I’m back on the road. He used a denso reman and the core is headed back for a deposit refund.

It was great to finally go out to EBI, I had never been. My truck is also due for new cv axels and I’m returning to EBI for that next week.

There were a lot of really nice cruisers out at EBI, at 18YO my LX470 was the youngest on the lot by a long shot.

We have our club BBQ at EBI tonight if you want to head back! :) 6pm we'll fire up the BBQ's. It's our regular club meeting as well, with $200 in raffle prizes.

I dont recall any stubby 60, but there is a Behemoth 60 sorta out that way...Alberta
Vince's 60 is bobbed. 3-door, stamped toyota from a pickup tailgate on the tail, wood trim interior, it's a masterpiece, really.

Behemoth60 is a good friend. For him, bigger is always better. The two builds are miles apart!

If I’m not mistaken but someone dragged an old thread up from ‘12. This would be Vince’s truck would it not? Weird but cool.

I don't think so? It's a three-door, with the handles shaved I think on one or both sides? I'll be seeing Vince later today so I'll take some pics. (and of his other 'projects' :) )

Now that’s just the coolest! Been 10 yrs since I’ve seen it.

New Product. Mentioned in Tires and Wheels
Seems very modern but works with new Wheels and TPMS

So now I have a 2010 Tundra 4WD RCSB. Spending a lot of time on Tundras.com. Generally it’s a good forum, most are genuine and genuinely helpful. I’m doing the usual rear suspension work and airbags, shocks and proper tune up / fluid changes when I get home. It’s less valuable as far as road salt so that’s why I got it. Cruisers stay inside after salt flys.
Has anyone ever heard of www.yotatunes.com ? They are recommended for proper set up of ECU and shift points etc. they have a shop in Surrey and Nanaimo too apparently. Just never heard of them and wondered if anyone has any experience. Pic of course.
